Common Questions

FAQ

How often should I measure body fat with calipers?
Measure every 2 to 4 weeks under identical conditions (preferably in the morning before eating or training). Take 3 readings at each site and average them for consistent accuracy.
Why do DEXA scans and calipers produce different numbers?
DEXA measures total visceral and bone density along with subcutaneous fat, whereas calipers measure subcutaneous fat only. However, for tracking progress over time, skinfolds are just as accurate and far more practical.
